He found her most beautiful
not when she was all fancied up
but when she wasn't.

When she was lying on the carpet
her hair all a mess
laughing about something
that had happened years ago.

When she wasn't trying to impress anyone
and taken down that wall
she built for most people.

That's when he couldn't take his eyes off her.

Distance

He was sitting across the bar. He had been observing me, watching me as I sip on my drink. I gave him a little smile as I tilted my head slightly, trailing my fingers slowly down my neck. Fingers running across my collar bone, down to the top of my little black dress. He smiled back.

My fingers slid down very slowly across the silky fabric above my breasts before coming back up to my lips. All these while keeping my gaze on him as he looked on. I slowly licked a finger and trailed it back down my neck. I leaned back against the bar and took a sip of my drink. I shifted my hips towards him, revealing my thigh as my skirt slid up. I slipped one foot slowly up the side of my calf. He shifted in his seat. His gaze fixed on me, his gaze running all over me.

My hand dropped to my knee, fingertips tracing small circles along my thigh. I shifted my weight again, making sure I paused slightly to part my thighs for him, making sure he saw my intention.

I stood up, pushing my ass towards him as I leaned over the bar to get the bartender's attention and made my payment. I rose from my seat, walked to the door, pausing to catch his gaze briefly before I walked out.

He rose from his side, and followed behind.
